We know we need to do things differently. We have seen the huge capability of communities. We are seeking to increase community resilience and health through community development. Your role will support cultural change and ensuring there is effective management in place for the programme. You will be working on behalf of the council and Frimley ICB to achieve this.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training
- Establish a pilot project for the Thriving Communities health and prevention programme, based in a specific geographical area, later expanding to other communities based on learning and insight.
- Initiate and drive a transformation in the relationship between organisations in the health and care system and communities; founded on listening and collectively acting on the voices of people with lived experience, co-design, and co-production. This involves a cultural shift which will need to be enabled by organisational development including training and development activity.
- Work with partners, including Frimley ICB and the voluntary, community and faith sector, to manage and coordinate the delivery of a programme of activity to reduce health inequalities, maximise wellness through a focus on prevention and increasing self-care and community resilience through community development.
- To develop and be accountable for ensuring effective programme management including evaluation, outcome reporting and budget management through developing an evaluation framework and effective governance.
The benefits you will experience are
- An inclusive and social working environment.
- A supportive approach to working from home.
- Flexible working opportunities including a flexi-time scheme.
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Regular opportunities for development with internal and external training courses.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly self-motivated, inclusive and resilient person, experienced in working in community or health and social care focused environments.
