**This internship is only open to current University of Edinburgh PhD students who will be based in the UK for the duration of the internship.**

The intern will assist with the implementation of a number of recommendations designed to strengthen equality, diversity and inclusion and to achieve sustainable and lasting change. We want to remove any barriers to inclusion and to ensure that all colleagues feel supported and able to fulfil their potential.

**The Opportunity**:
The role is an opportunity to use communication, interpersonal and research skills to help to create a more inclusive office.

As a member of the Development & Alumni EDI Working Group, you will support internal stakeholders to develop resources to communicate D&A’s EDI values and commitments, both internally and externally, and to identify training opportunities for all D&A staff to ensure EDI literacy and to promote inclusive behaviour.

Employ.ed for PhDs is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. It offers exclusive part-time internships at the University all year round.

As an Employ.ed for PhDs intern, you will also receive tailored developmental support from the Careers Service to help you make the most of your internship.

The University will employ full-time PGR students for no more than an average of 9 hours per week across the academic year (as per its policy ), and you must make sure any employment complies with any visa or funding conditions you may have.

Should you be successful, you will require written confirmation from your academic supervisor that you can undertake the internship. We recommend that students discuss the internship with their supervisor, as well as with their employer, before applying.
