**The Opportunity**:

- The School of Physics & Astronomy is looking for an intern to help us review and improve our computing & programming courses and supporting learning resources. The intern will conduct a review of key programming courses and disseminate their findings to key teaching staff. The intern will also help some courses improve and develop new course materials, including new interactive code examples for our introductory Python course, and will review current options for submitting and marking programming assignments.
- Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before. - This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Expected commencement date: June 3rd 2024 (12 weeks internship)

- Significant Python programming skills
- Prior experience of working with Linux computer systems
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently
