**Data and Statistics Division** is the Bank’s centre of expertise for compilation, dissemination and publication of regulatory and statistical data, promoting innovation and quality to support analysis, policy and decision making by the Bank’s Committees, UK government departments and international organisations.

Data is collected from banks and buildings societies, credit unions, insurance companies and regulated mortgage lenders and administrators. This takes place via 35 statistical collections and over 200 regulatory collections.

We support MPC, FPC and PRA Board and our data is used in the Inflation Report, Financial Stability Report, Credit Conditions Review, Stress Test Results, FPC Core Indicators and Quarterly Bulletin.

**Department Overview**

This position is within the Data Services Group (DSG) and as a member of The Operations Team you will help support the Division and other areas of the Bank, through the timely and accurate collection of many data sets via the Banks strategic data collection platform, BEEDS.

The Data Services Group's vision is to provide a strategic self-service data collection service which meets the expanding demands of the Bank (and other Supra National supervisory bodies for which the Bank acts as an agent) for collecting data from financial institutions. We are responsible for other data collection systems and collaborate closely with Technology to ensure efficient and effective operations. We oversee the timely submission of data too and this ranges from Statistical data to the daily SONIA collection.

**Role Requirements**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations administrator to join our dynamic Operations Team

You will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless receipt and validation of data submissions from hundreds of reporters, utilising a wide range of collections.

You will work as part of a team, to assist in the collection of Statistical and Regulatory returns, coordinating and communicating efficiently with all internal and external customers.

You will develop a strong understanding of the BEEDS submission portal and MIDAS, no system knowledge is required as training will be given.

Your primary responsibility will be working with the Operations Team within Data Services Group, you will help maintain a robust data collection service across all of our systems. This involves ensuring the valid submission of data in a timely manner, collecting interest and exchange rates and maintaining process documentation for the MIDAS and BEEDS systems.

You will take ownership of data collection, coordinate submissions, communicate effectively with internal teams and external reporters. You will proactively Implement operational improvements to enhance the team’s efficiency.

The role involves considerable engagement with external reporters, you will support our external helpdesk function, providing support to over 5,000 external users of the Bank's strategic data collection platform, BEEDS. You will have the opportunity to build and maintain a positive relationship with various teams.

The role also offers an excellent opportunity to assist in collection of the daily Sterling Money Market Data. This data is used in the calculation of the high-profile SONIA interest rate which is published by the Bank daily at 9am. Flexibility to provide cover for some early mornings and later evenings during the monthly rounds is required.
