The Position

As a Senior Flooring Consultant, you will drive sales and profitability through the delivery of an inspiring end to end customer experience whilst in tandem acting as a role model and coach for other colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

- Be devoted to exceeding customer expectations from a customer service and hospitality perspective, whether in store, online or via mobile communication methods
- You will provide advice and information on our products and services and work closely with your colleagues to convert customer enquiries into sales using the prescribed sales journey
- Role model the values of the business and lead by example, supporting the Team Leader by training and mentoring new and existing colleagues
- Actively deputise for the Team Leader in their absence
- Actively support the Team Leader in maximising sales opportunities for the store
- Take responsibility for ensuring the store is impeccably presented both front and back of house. And that product samples are impeccably presented
- Adapt your approach to offer a bespoke service ensuring all customers feel welcome, comfortable and inspired
- Develop a detailed understanding of the customer’s project, taste and preferences
- Use your expertise and influence, including your design capabilities, to demonstrate and explain options in-line with the customer’s needs

The Person
- Demonstrable experience/interest in interior design/têxtiles, home trends and styles
- Must have previous customer service experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis/focus on providing an excellent customer experience ideally in design led retail environment
- Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS packages
- Will have experience of working to sales targets and KPI’s
- Good administrative skills
- You will have previous experience of mentoring/training new and existing colleagues
- Experience of seeking out and following up on sales leads/data
- Experience in creating sales strategies to achieve sales goals
