We are currently recruiting a highly motivated Care Coordinator to oversee some of the day-to-day running of our care provision. We provide a high standard of individualised and specialised care to young adults with learning disabilities to help them live independent and fulfilling lives. As part of your work with Abilities Development, you will be building great relationships with the families and helping them with their own planning and goals.

Our Care Coordinator will work with our Senior Business Manager and Senior Coordinator to ensure that our service quality remains at the highest possible levels. You will remain aware of all relevant regulation and may assist in meetings with regulatory bodies that monitor Health & Social Care. As part of your Care Coordinator duties, you will be required to carry out on-call / out of hours duties on a rotational basis.

**Ideal Care Coordinator skills and experience**
- NVQ level 3 in Care, education or working with children and young people. If not, you should be willing to pursue an NVQ or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience of working with learning disabilities.
- Previous experience working in an educational/healthcare environment with knowledge of SEN Code of Practice.
- Rounded staff management skills and with a good track record of success within the teams you have managed.
- Proven track record of team training, development and organisation.
- Excellent communication skills and effective organisational capability.
- High degree of flexibility when responding to the changing needs of our Clients
- A strong can do attitude and hands on approach.
