It should be noted that successful applicant will be required to undertake travel throughout the UK. This post will primarily be responsible for engaging with Defence Sites, in the Corsham and London areas but will be expected to cover other units in the region. A full UK Driving Licence is highly desirable due to regular travel to other sites, many of which are remote and not easily accessible via public transport.

These job roles may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely. This is dependent on trials requirements where attendance in the office will be required.

**Job description**:
A Service Owner is accountable for the quality of their service. They adopt a portfolio view, managing end-to-end services, which include multiple products and channels. You will be expected to operate at scale and provide the connection between multidisciplinary business areas and stakeholders.

The Business Rigour Service Owner will be responsible for ensuring that Defence Digital has a clear and consistent approach to business rigour within the portfolio
- curating best practice, maintaining and updating our standards and guidance.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Business Rigour Service Team is seen as a key point of support, guidance and expertise on all areas of delivery controls, assurance and approvals. You will need to work with stakeholders across the Ministry of Defence to ensure that our own approach is in line with wider expectations, and that we constantly look for ways to improve processes and increase confidence in delivery. You will also be the key point of contact for departmental assurance leads and the onwards approvals process.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Ensure that Defence Digital Approvals approach aligns to Departmental and wider government requirements - working with other functions to ensure a coherent approach
- Develop the Defence Digital approach to Business Rigour - ensure that the there is a clear and robust framework in place against which we are able to measure the robustness of approach to business rigour in our change delivery. Ensuring that teams have and maintain key programme artefacts
- Undertake portfolio level assessments of adherence to standards in line with guidance from the Defence Project Delivery Centre of Excellence and ensuring that robust action plans are implemented to address any areas of improvement
- Ensure that portfolio standards, policy and guidance is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect best practice and align with any wider changes in MoD or government approach
- Own the relationship with the Portfolio Integration Office teams in each delivery area to help drive consistency and standards across teams.
