You will be responsible for helping the team to ensure our patients receive safe, quality nursing care in our outpatient clinics & the day care unit. The unit is open between 08:00-20:00 Monday-Friday.

The Cancer Centre at Mount Vernon is seeking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic clinical support worker to work with the team in our busy day care department, which comprises the John Bush Research and Supportive Care Unit and the Outpatient Department.

On a day to day basis you will be expected to;
- Helping to ensure the smooth running of Consultant, Radiographer, Nurse and pharmacist led clinics, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, support & administrative staff to ensure the needs of patients and carers are met.
- Monitor and assist in managing the flow of patients each day attending the department for supportive and acute oncology care
- Develop your phlebotomy skills and undertake dressings
- Perform physiological observations, ECG's and personal care
- Use good organisational skills to ensure waiting times are mínimal
- Assist in auditing of care and the environment.
