**Hours of Work**: Mon-Thur: 8.00am to 5.00pM/Fri: 8.30am to 3.00pm (37.5 hours per week)

- A stable business that has very little turnover in staff

**Location**:

- This role is spilt between our site and customers sites and you would be representing the group, traveling from our UK facility.
- You will be required to travel to customer and supplier sites, both domestically and internationally, as well as spend time training and working at our sister sites.

**The Role**:

- As an Electrical Controls Engineer / Technician working for the UK site and our USA business, this position is being created to sell, service and support our products in the UK and Europe.
- The primary role will be to the USA business activity, but you will also be required to support Group equipment and controls systems, as and when required.
- The role will be required to support installations, start-up new equipment and install new control systems on old lines to give new life to older equipment; in the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World, as and when required.
- Many of our customers are building manufacturers who need control systems to interact and control their machines.
- We design and create control systems for these companies.
- These systems include our proprietary controllers, PLC's, electrical cabinets, VFDs, Servo Drive/Motors, feedback devices, robotics, and other control components.
- You will be involved with the project through the entire process from concepting with sales, project management, development and commissioning stages (and ideally have experience in all these areas, though not essential)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide routine servicing and breakdown assistance to customers to quickly resolve problems
- Carry out and manage installation, start-up and commissioning of Group equipment, both domestically and internationally
- Train customers in safe operation and maintenance of Group equipment
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Group equipment and technology
- Liaise with engineering, sales and other group companies as required on both new and existing projects and potential leads
- Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, method statements, work reports, activity reports and all other documentation
- Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required
- Look for potential Group opportunities when visiting customer sites, providing assistance to the sales department and other group companies for spare parts, service visits, upgrades, refurbishments and new equipment
- Offer feedback on future product development, features and function
- Provide regular updates to the Managing Director and other direct reporting
- 3-5 years machine controls experience
- PLC programming experience
- Electrical design for machine control
- Hands-on field wiring
- Knowledge on safety systems and current legislation
- Customer service-related experience
- Travel to the US for training on the products that will be installed
