**Who are Acis?**

We are a welcoming and friendly organisation who own and manage more than 7,000 properties across the East Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber, helping thousands of people in our communities every single day. This includes homes for affordable rent, homes for students and homes for older people. We even develop new homes to help people get on the property ladder. In addition to this, we provide Student accommodation. We support over 4000 learners a year with everything from entry level qualifications, arts and wellbeing courses through to employability support to help people fulfil their potential. This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider.

**This is a 12 month Fixed term contract working 15 hours per week**

Your role is all about being the first point of contact for our internal customers, ensuring our financial reporting reflects how we are doing as an organisation. That our day to day processes are followed and around everything, finance is done on time, in the right way. Being an Assistant Accountant opens the door on a whole range of future options and career progression. The more you put in, the more you get out.

**As a Finance Officer, a typical day might include**:

- Providing transaction processing and financial analysis support to the finance team
- Maintaining and updating of cashflow daily and short term cashflow forecasts for the group
- Preparing and inputting of cashbook entries and carrying out regular bank reconciliations
- Preparing and inputting ledger journals as required, ensuring the accuracy of reported income and expenditure.
- Liaising with team to ensure sales invoices are raised in a timely manner
- Carrying out credit control procedures to ensure recovery of debt
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure procurement card transactions are approved and inputted into financial ledger in a timely manner
- Perform other such duties as are required to ensure the smooth flow of transactions within Finance
- Dealing with customer queries and providing prompt and effective outcomes

- Numerate with the ability to process financial information and transactions
- Customer focused and a good ambassador for the business
- A solid all-round communicator who is able to show assertiveness when required
- Good IT skills, in particular Excel
