Dietician Assistant

Liverpool University Foundation Trust has a service level agreement withLiverpool Women’s Hospital.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self -motivated dietetic assisant to join our small, friendly team who benefit from the support and learning opportunities that larger organisation can provide.

We are looking for a dietitian assistant with excellent communication skills and experience of working with patients with complex needs. The role will involve working within a well -established MDT dealing with gynaecological, oncology service, women’s health and diabetes patients. Your duties will be directed by the Dieticians to provide a service to the wards and MDT out
- patient clinic. The post holder will need to be able to work independently to provide a highly specialised service to patients with complex clinical needs

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.

As directed by Dieticians to monitor and review nutritional care plans against outcome measures and adjust the care plan as necessary to help achieve goals

To undertake defined clinics and groups in hospital settings

To report back to qualified staff

To accurately record all interventions in line with Trust policy

To assist with administrative tasks, projects, audits as directed by qualified staff.

Audits

Health promotion activities

To attend and contribute to meetings as required

Adhere to Trust Policies and procedures

Maintain up to date skills and knowledge
