Dietitian for Women’s Health and Maternity

Liverpool Women's Hospital is a teaching hospital, and the largest specialist provider of health services for women and babies in Europe An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self -motivated dietitian to join our small, friendly dietetic team who work under a service level agreement with Liverpool University Foundation Trust.
The team also comprises a specialist oncology and palliative care dietitian and part time dietetic assistant. The service is undergoing a phased restructure which will allow for innovation and further development of services
The postholder will work with another part time Maternal and Women's Health Dietitian.
The post holder will need to be able to work independently to provide a specialised service. The role will involve helping to provide and develop an inpatient and outpatient service to maternity patients and gynaecology patients. including women with hyperemesis.
Part of the role will entail working in the multi-disciplinary clinic for women with diabetes in pregnancy, involving close working with obstetric and diabetes teams.
The post holder will work with the dietetic team contributing to service improvement, training, development of protocols, policies, resources, standards and audit.
Also included is student training and support for health promotion activities and audit.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.
The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. As well as having Service Level Agreements with other Trusts such as Liverpool Womens Hospital - so our staff can support specailst services and continue to access the wider support and training provided by Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.
