**About us**The 4* Connaught Hotel & Spa is one of Bournemouth’s finest hotels. Situated on the West Cliff, the hotel attracts a wide range of interesting business all year round with many guests travelling from afar to celebrate special occasions and create lasting memories. With spacious ground floor public rooms, 2 AA Rosette Connaught Brasserie, 81 bedrooms and suites plus the first class Bluewater Spa, relaxation lounge and gym. Privately owned, the team has built a solid reputation for delivering exceptional experiences and we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hotel receptionist to join our amazing team.

**About the role**This is a new opportunity, suited to an individual with experience of working in a busy reception department within a 4 star property. Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will have responsibility for maintaining an excellent first and last impression for hotel guests and external visitors. Role responsibilities will include:
Duties will include:

- Maintain the front of house area to the highest standards at all times
- Ensure guests are greeted in a polite and friendly manner offered all available products and services
- Booking and updating reservations for hotel bedrooms, the Connaught Brasserie, private functions & Bluewater Spa
- Distributing enquiries to other departments and colleagues as required
- Completing administrative tasks as required such as filing and photocopying
- Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments
- Assisting guests with checkout procedures including payment of bills and deposit returns where appropriate
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Remain calm under pressure and deal with customer issues/ complaints - escalating where necessary
- Building rapport with both colleagues and customers maintaining positive relationships
- Working efficiently with a positive attitude, contributing to a positive working environment at all times
- Able to multitask an show flexibility on tasks to support the wider business
- Provide support to other team members wherever necessary

**About the person**
- Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of using Guestline software would prove highly advantageous however full training will be provided
- Well presented and takes pride in their appearance
- Organised and methodical with good attention to detail
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,795.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
