**We have an excellent opportunity for a two-year fixed-term Lecturer in Creative Writing: Fiction (Teaching and Education).**

**You will have significant experience of convening modules at MA Level and/or Programme Director experience, they will have published genre fiction and/or will be able to teach on some or all of the following modules**:

- Level 7, Writing Workshop (Monday, Autumn Term)
- Level 7, Writing and Reading Seminar (Wednesday, Autumn Term)
- Level 7, Writing Workshop, Option (Monday, Spring Term)
- Level 7, Genre, Option (Wednesday, Spring Term)
- Level 7, Writing the Planet (Thursday, Summer Term)
- Level 5, The Writing Industry (Summer Term)
- Level 6, The Publishing Project (Summer Term)

These modules on Birkbeck’s MA and BA Creative Writing are taught through a mix of lectures, seminars and writing workshops.

You will have detailed knowledge and understanding of the craft of fiction writing, have published short or long-form fiction, and have experience of MA level Creative Writing teaching and module convening.

**Remuneration**:
Lecturer Grade of the College's London Pay Scale which is £41,348 rising to £56,881 per annum

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
