**The **Role**

We at the Royal British Legion, believe in building on potential. The Membership Engagement Team provides support to our branches and membership and our Membership Engagement Officers enable this Team to be the best they can.

As our Membership Engagement Officer for Leicestershire and surrounds, (MEO) you will be an integral part of the team, one which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies.

Membership Engagement Team provide support, advice and guidance to ensure that our members can continue to be the force for good in their communities.

We are looking for someone who can engage effectively with a range of audiences and both support and challenge stakeholders.
- As our MEO some of your focuses will be_
- Provide organisational support, advice and information to our members
- Work closely with County Committees, membership central team staff and other departments
- Connect and build relationships with Branches through to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries
- Engage with new members - Inform them about the Legion within their first few months, connecting them to their local, regional, and national Legion events, for activities and opportunities
- In collaboration with the Membership Compliance and Events team, share membership feedback on and support approach to the delivery of Annual conferences, national events & training

**This role is home based although requires travel throughout the Leicestershire region and occasional travel to National locations for meetings.**

**Due to which, ideally you will have a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and be within a travelable distance to the Leicestershire region.**
