**Production Planner**

**Purpose of Role**

Create and maintain the workshop schedule to deliver critical information to key areas of the business.

Provide weekly targets to the Team-Leaders and monitor their progress. Support the Team-Leaders with any issues arising in order that completion targets are met.

Perform the hands-on task of moving hardware from one stage to the next.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Master Schedule**

Maintain the schedule in Gantt format.

Add new projects with milestones for key steps.

Maintain a balance of projects starting and finishing each week.

Identify dates for completion of initial inspection and completion of final assembly using historic data and a view of current workload.

Update current status of each project and show completions of key steps.

Liaise with the Commercial Team so they can use Master Schedule data to compile their Sales Forecast.

**Planning Meeting**

Master Schedule provides Team-Leaders with weekly targets. The Team-Leaders manage their resource accordingly to meet these deadlines.

Coordinate a weekly planning meeting with Team-Leaders and Specialists to highlight targets and resolve issues.

Coordinate follow-ups to identify any slips and support the Team-Leaders in achieving their targets.

**Maintaining Process Flow**

Facilitate the flow of products from cell to cell.

Keep the cells stocked with consumables, spares, picking lists etc.

Perform ancillary functions such as remove waste, pack parts etc.

**Person Specification**

Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Previous experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing company, ideally from an Aviation background.

Comfortable working on a number of projects simultaneously.

Excellent skills in Microsoft office packages; in particular Excel and Project.

Strong numeracy skills.

High level of English communication skills including face to face, telephone and written. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in an organised manner.

Strong relationship building skills.

Continuous improvement mentality and receptive to change.

Good school leaving qualifications in Maths and English with additional higher education achievements in a relevant discipline.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
