**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our People Business Partnering Team as a People Adviser. In this role, you’ll be supporting the Childrens and Adults Directorate, reporting to a People Business Partner. You will be responsible for the provision of first level advice and coaching to managers on employee relations matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with People Business Partners on recruitment, the preparation of MI data and HR related projects as required.

**About The Team You’ll Be Working In**

The People Business Partnering Team sits within HR and OD and you will collaborate with colleagues across the service and the wider organisation to ensure the Hounslow employee journey and experience is the very best it can be. You will build strong relationships with business areas to understand stakeholder needs and influence suitable people strategies and solutions.

**Key responsibilities**:
Enable managers to effectively manage their people by providing first level advice on employee relations issues including sickness, capability, conduct and grievance, and advising on risk, escalating more complex queries to an appropriate Business Partner as necessary.

Advise and support managers on people processes including but not limited to performance management, contractual changes, recruitment and induction.

Contribute to the production and formatting of management information (MI) reports offering insights required by people business partners and / or designated business areas.

Be a proactive member of the business partnering team, share learning, every day, so that the team is able to be the very best that it can be.

**About You**

You have experience of delivering advice to line managers on people matters, in particular employee relations in accordance with policies and procedures and employment legislation.

You have sound knowledge of people processes and procedures, throughout the employee lifecycle.

You have experience working with systems data and producing MI for a management audience.

You have great communication skills; you engage effectively with a broad range of people and always maintain confidentiality.

You have a proactive, flexible, responsive approach, always seeking to provide the highest levels of customer service to make the team the best it can be.
