Mercy Mercy Mercy, a small independent cafe, is looking for our next incredibly important hire, an experienced bookkeeper and general admin assistant to help with the financial aspects of running a busy cafe in the heart of Clifton Village.

You would have the option to work to your own hours within the normal working day and week. We have a nice office setup on the top floor, but equally, you'd be welcome to work from home or from our sister company just off Park Street.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative support to the team, assisting with stock control using Market Man.
- Manage all aspects of Payroll, Pensions, track holiday and sick leave.
- Quarterly VAT returns.
- Maintain and organize files and records.
- Assist with accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
- Utilize accounting software. We use Xero, and Brightpay at present.
- Coordinate and manage office supplies, equipment and non-essential purchasing,
- Assist with special projects as required.
- Work with our external accountant on the end-of-year accounts.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in using Xero, Nest (Pensions). Knowledge of Brightpay (payroll), marketman (stock control) and SquareUp POS (till system) would be an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficient in Gsuite (Google Sheets etc)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Cash flow forecasting to assist with growth and reinvestment
- Produce monthly reports on profitability and continually look for potential improvements in the business.

Part-time hours: 8-24 per week

Pay up to £16 per hour.
