**Salary: £42,503 - £45,495 a year pro rata plus £3,203 car benefit allowance**

**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity available within our HR department where you will be providing a professional and specialist advisory and support service to senior managers and clients on a full range of human resources and business support matters.

This role includes providing specific advice and support that is consistent with the Council and external employer’s policies and procedures, employment law, and best professional advice.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who has experience within a unionised personnel/ HR environment and can support and manage developing policies and providing support in a HR advisory role.

We need someone who has good interpersonal skills and is able to consult, influence and contribute to negotiations with a wide range of people at a senior level both inside and outside of the council.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge of employment law and best practice within HR and knowledge of issues affecting HR within local authorities and/or Education

We do ask that you are a professionally qualified member of the CIPD or have an equivalent level qualification or equivalent extensive experience and able to demonstrate continuing professional development.
