**The role**:
Calling all commercially aware customer service agents in the Basingstoke area Do you want to work within a small but experienced team, where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of key customer relationships alongside being supported by hugely experienced team members. We provide extensive on-boarding support, so for us here at VPG, your personality is just as important as your experience. We are looking for someone who is proactive and displays our company values; these are Courage, Diligence and Connected-ness. This full-time role is based at our Basingstoke site in the UK 4 days each week, plus 1 day from working from home.

**About us**:
VPG has a long history of innovation, specifically in precision foil resistors and foil strain gauges. This served as a foundation to expand into strain gauge instrumentation, load cells, transducers, weighing modules and complete systems for process control and on-board vehicle weighing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will carry out order management, incorporating order entry and acknowledgement; planning dispatches; date management based on Planning and Purchasing reports; raising pro-forma invoices where appropriate.
- You will display attention to detail - Delivering daily processes with consistent accuracy, while working within SLA’s.
- You will provide prompt and comprehensive responses to customer queries relating to stock availability, delivery and complaints. You will become the customer’s voice within our business. Aspiring to exceed customer expectations, and to develop and optimise the relationship with our European based customers.
- You will take ownership of arising customer issues, ensuring they are investigated, and a solution is found, which is then communicated to our customers in line with SLA’s.
- You will co-ordinate product returns in line with our defined RMA process, and arrange customer credit notes.
- You will maintain our customer databases.
- You will manage direct orders for finished load cells, electronics and accessories using our inter-company service platforms.
- You will complete customer services general administrative tasks.
- You will contribute to business report generation producing documentation in line with our customers and our internal guidelines.
- Pro-active contact with existing and potential customers in support of external sales activities.

**What we are looking for**:

- An Enthusiastic, diligent and pro-active customer service professional
- Experience of customer service in a B2B manufacturing or distribution environment
- The ability to handle and prioritise a fluctuating, varied and sometimes pressurised workload is important.
- Experience using internal MRP systems and the full Microsoft Office suite
