**Role Purpose**:
This role is responsible for the design and delivery of complex, extensive learning and development (L&D) programmes, enabling the organisation to achieve its goal and individuals to fulfil their potential in accordance with the People Development strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The post holder should have an adult teaching qualification (and be willing to work towards level 4 Certificate in Education and Training).

Hold a Police Advanced Driving skill (current or recent) **AND**/**OR **Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification **AND**/**OR **be an emergency services Driver Trainer** (Fire, Ambulance, Police)**

The post holder will provide comprehensive Driver Training together with the design and delivery of Driver Training programmes for both Police and Support staff in line with force and College of Policing requirements.

The post is 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working. There may also be occasions when the post holder will have to deliver training at other South Yorkshire locations.

**Skills and experience**:
The successful applicant will be willing to work towards:
- College of Policing - Driver Trainer’s Course, Level 4 Certificate in Training (CET), Assessors Course (Level 3).

Fixed: This is a traditional arrangement, applicable when the work is mostly required to be undertaken at a fixed single place of work (on police premises) for most of the time. The work can only or is more effectively delivered from a police premises or other agreed organisational/partner premises.

Field: This applies to roles that do have a base, however, due to the nature of their duties is required to travel to other locations. Due to the nature of these roles, they cannot accommodate flexible working from home on a permanent basis.

Hybrid: Applicable when the work can be undertaken at any location, whether that be a SYP building or from home.
