As our **Research and Smart Technology Assistant**, **you will provide administrative support for all innovation projects, maintaining a project list of all innovation work. You’ll support the Research and Technology Lead to deliver the Research and Innovation Strategy, and will ensure projects have clear objectives that are aligned to the charity’s needs and strategic objectives.

**Responsibilities of our Research and Smart Technology Assistant will include**:

- Working with the Head of Wellbeing, Research and Innovation and Research and Technology Lead to help prioritise innovation projects.
- Working with the Innovation and Wellbeing team to deliver a project plan for the Smart Technology Market in all ExtraCare locations and support with evaluation.
- Supporting the setup and evaluation of innovation apartments in new locations.
- Holding 1-1 support sessions as well as group sessions with ExtraCare residents and staff to support the usage of smart and other technology.
- Helping residents and staff to discover solutions for daily living activities.
- Providing input into research projects with the technology team to build a culture of person-centred technology usage.
- Helping to develop and plan staff training to support implementation and sustainable use of technology.
- Supporting the marketing, open days, and dissemination of information around smart technology both internally and externally.
- Supporting piloting new technology/innovation projects in locations.
- Filtering research requests to make sure they are relevant to ExtraCare by ensuring the methodology is appropriate for our setting and approved ethics are in place.
- Providing all administration for research projects with universities, ensuring all have Service Level Agreements, clear project plans, and align with our priorities.
- Providing the financial support for all research and innovation work, raising Purchase Orders and tracking financial spend against the innovation budget.
- Updating the Ongoing Research spreadsheet to be used for quarterly reports.
- Scheduling quarterly Innovation Reference Group meetings and take minutes.
- Carrying out desk-based research to support the organisation where requested/part of the corporate targets and commitments**.**

**What we’re looking for in our **Research and Smart Technology Assistant**:

- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in conducting research, theoretical frameworks, and the approval of research projects (ethics).
- IT literacy with the ability to operate new software systems.
- Experience in writing and generating reports.
- The ability to collect, organise and analyse data with accuracy.
- The ability to adapt written and verbal communication to suit the audience needs i.e., residents/staff.
