Senior Research Engineer - Measurement Technology

We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer to become a vital part of our Measurement Technology Team. This position emphasizes the delivery of technical projects and the facilitation of project activities across various sectors, collaborating with diverse technology departments.

  • Accountable for the autonomous delivery of technical project outcomes and leading smaller initiatives as required.
  • Engaging in pioneering Engineering research with an emphasis on technology readiness levels and demonstrating project outcomes within the industry.
  • Assisting in the specification and deployment of innovative technologies within the organization or for industrial partners.

This role encompasses multiple project dimensions, including concept development, design, compliance, technical assistance, budget oversight, and deliverables management.

Key Responsibilities
  • A degree in engineering, technology, science, or mathematics is essential.
  • Progressing towards professional accreditation is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge and application of technologies through project involvement.
  • Familiarity with tactile measurement technologies, non-contact 3D point cloud systems, and surface measurement technologies.
  • Comprehension of the significance of metrology in Digital Engineering and Industry 4.0.
  • Capability to conduct validation trials and system analysis studies.
  • Experience in research and development or project-based environments.
  • A strong enthusiasm for knowledge transfer to colleagues.
