Senior Research Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer to join our Non Destructive Testing Team at The MTC in Coventry.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project technical deliverables, ensuring work meets customer requirements and is delivered within budgets and timescales.
- Undertake innovative engineering research work, focusing on technology readiness levels 3+ and demonstrating industrial project delivery.
- Support Senior Managers in identifying, specifying, and delivering new technology capabilities.
- Take overall ownership of project delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and managing project budget and deliverables.
- Degree calibre engineer, technologist, scientist, or mathematician.
- Ideal candidate has working towards professional registration and Chartered professional qualification.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and application of NDT techniques, particularly X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) and analysis methods.
- Broad knowledge of additional NDT techniques, including ultrasonic inspection, electromagnetic inspection, thermographic inspection, and image-based inspection methodologies.
