A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Plymouth City Council’s Community Connections Team as a Senior Officer focusing on Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG).

While Community Connections is a multi-disciplinary team, this role focuses on assisting with the day-to-day delivery of DFGs, including holding a caseload. The main drivers for this role are to ensure that DFG clients can remain independent and safe in their own homes and eligible adaptations are provided in a timely manner.

The post holder will work as part of a team, working closely with Community Connections Officers, Housing Occupational Therapists and partners, with a focus on the day-to-day delivery of DFGs.

The person will be enthusiastic, able to work on their own and as part of a team, be a good communicator and be committed to continual improvement.

And/or substantial relevant and practical experience in DFG case management and problem solving. This will include a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and government initiatives.

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
