**Job Purpose**:
To provide Reception and Student Services Administration for the College, contributing to the provision of an excellent service to Staff, Students and Visitors
**Responsible To**: Senior Student Services Administrator
**Annual Salary**:Scale 4 of NJC SFCA Support Staff Salary Spine, Points 8-11
**Hours of Work**: 25 hours per week - Term Time Only (plus 5 days)
**Holidays**:College Holidays
**Further Information**:As the position requires some additional working on occasion, but particularly on the College Open Evenings and when other College events are scheduled, a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
**Pension**:Staff are enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme, a contributory scheme with the option to opt out in a transitional period
**Key Responsibilities**
- To provide information and help to students, signposting them to appropriate support as necessary.
- To undertake a variety of student administration duties as well as contributing to general College administration as required.
- To operate the College’s absence procedures for Students.
- To operate the College’s absence procedures for Staff, providing information for HR and the Assistant Principal in a timely manner.
- To contribute to the safeguarding and security of the college community by greeting all visitors, and operating the signing in/out procedure.
- To co-ordinate the response to incidents relating to student care by calling duty managers, Student Supervisors and first aiders as appropriate.
- To deal with incoming, outgoing and internal post and deliveries, and distributing communications to staffroom pigeon holes.
- To maintain a diary of information on College events and activities.
- To contribute to front of house arrangements for College events and activities, including those taking place out of College hours (by agreement through the Support Staff Additional Working policy).
**General**:
- To be responsible for Health and Safety within areas of own responsibility
- To contribute to the college responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- To observe the College’s commitment to equal opportunities
- To take part in the College Performance Review and Development Scheme (PRD)
- To undertake any other duties which are reasonably comparable to a post of this grade
**Salary**: From £23,618.00 per year
