The National Extension College (NEC) is an educational charity based on the outskirts of Cambridge, which is part of the Open School Trust. NEC has provided tutor-supported home study courses directly to learners for over 60 years, and delivers blended learning programmes for public and private sector organisations. We are looking for a Student Services administrator to join the team to provide excellent administrative support for NEC's Pastoral Service and Student Support Service.

**Pastoral Service**

Working with NEC's Pastoral Officer to provide administrative and customer service support, to include:

- Running regular reports from CRM system
- Using online learning platform to check student progress
- Ad hoc admin project tasks as required.

**Student Support**

Working with NEC's Student Support team to provide administrative and customer service support, to include:

- Phone call handling, resolving queries using CRM system and online learning platform
- Logging all communications on CRM system
- Essential regular tasks to support on-course students using CRM and other online systems
- Supporting the set up of online tutorials
- Covering other team admin roles as required.

**Experience and person specification**:
**Essential**
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a customer service and / or administrative role with an understanding of the importance of delivering high quality customer care
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using multiple platforms and systems
- Proactive and positive approach
- Confident liaising at all levels and able to develop good working relationships.
- Excellent organisation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Be a self starter who shows initiative
- Strong communication and written skills
- Good time management and prioritising skills
- A level or L3 or equivalent

Desirable
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience in CRM databases and Moodle
- Analytical skills, able to present data
