National Trust Cymru cares for some of the most iconic historic houses and castles in Wales. We are looking for someone to lead and develop our in-house team of Building surveyors providing support enabling properties to achieve sustainable standards relating to all aspects of building conservation, repair and maintenance. This role will be suitable for a Senior Building Surveyor who has experience of managing projects.

You will find that no two days will be the same.

What you'll be doing:The role is varied, challenging, and rewarding.

You will oversee all aspects of conservation and risk management of buildings and structures at our amazing places, acting as a lead consultant utilising the Trust project management framework. Together with the Project Managers, General managers and operational colleagues, you will develop and deliver a programme of planned improvements, preparing specifications, planning delivery and tracking progress.

Working closely with external partners and consultants to ensure conservation excellence is at the core of all we do.

- Who we're looking forRelevant professional e.g.chartered building surveyor (MRICS or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation and buildings regulations relating to the role.
- Strong experience of contract management in a supervisory capacity. Cross cutting skills:

- Adaptable, and able to make decisions and drive projects forwards working to budgets and timescales.
- Risk based and pragmatic mindset.
- Ability to influence and negotiate.
- Knowledge of budgets, finance, and co-ordination of projects.
- A positive attitude to Welsh language and culture
