**Development Surveyor - Wrexham (Temp Vacancy)**

**Umbrella Pay Rate:£43.78**

**Full-Time (37 hours)**

**Job Purpose**:
To support the Operational Manager (Property Planning) and the Operational Manager (Commercial Development) to identify, develop, progress and implement major projects arising from
- Asset Management Reviews of Council's land and property holdings: and theuse of land and property as a tool in initiatives and programmes for economic regeneration of Wrexham,

**Responsibilities**:

- To support the identification of development opportunities and provision of property strategies and development policy in relation to Council owned land and property.
- To implement those strategies ensuring best practice in respect of Council property and value for money. To support the creation and implementation of major projects relating to economic regeneration in relation to Council land and property and Joint Ventureor Partnership arrangements.
- To support the senior management in delivering an effective Asset Management & Asset Review service based on best practice and value for money.
- To act as the link between the Asset Review Section and the Valuation Section (Property Planning) following the identification of surplus or development assets through to the completion of disposals, acquisitions or development implementation ensuring allsteps throughout the process are in accordance with best practice.
- To act, provide advice and guidance in respect to development related matters. To interrogate the property assets of the Council with a view to ensuring the maximum use of those assets to meet service needs and maximise the value of Council assets.
- To develop processes leading to maximising capital receipts to meet the Council's Capital programme and other budgetary needs. To keep abreast of professional and technical developments in the use of computer technology for use in the maintenance of theProperty Data Base and geographical information and mapping systems
