**We have an exciting opportunity for a consultant to work with us at** **University Hospitals Plymouth specialising in Orthopaedics.**

We are looking for a dedicated doctor ready to work in a Trust that puts their patients at the heart of everything they do.

This placement opportunity is to start ASAP (with possibility to be longer) within the excellent team in Orthopaedics. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care. Although this role would be predominantly based in Plymouth University Hospitals Trust there may be the opportunity to work extra shifts across any of our partner Trusts.

**Details about the role**:

- **Location**: University Hospitals Plymouth Trust
- **Days per week**:Monday-Friday
- **Shift Pattern**: long days/nights (negotiable shift pattern)
- **Start Date**: ASAP
- **Pay rate**: £90 per hour
- **Payment method: PAYE **we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

**General workload includes**:

- Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and blood tests.
- Determine appropriate treatment plans based on diagnosis.
- Consult with colleagues on complex cases to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Educate patients about their musculoskeletal conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
- Provide guidance on postoperative care, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
