**The Opportunity**
In this role you will support the commercial team with day-to-day customer management responsibilities. With strong support, mentoring, and coaching you will gradually assume account management responsibilities and start a journey to increase your commercial awareness and abilities and move towards a commercial manager role.
You will work closely with the commercial manager and support by ensuring all customer data is downloaded and converted into a business update providing insights across the key performance metrics (sales, margin, waste, service etc).
You will complete administrative tasks such as forecasting, customer online portal (new lines forms, promotions, invoices) and other internal documentation such as Gate Zero’s.
The purpose of this role is to form a strong administrative link within the business and also into the customer ensuring that information is updated and shared but you will also perform a key role in internal meetings such as S&OP and the gate process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate management of the commercial forecasts with any change being captured and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that all customer administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner and seek senior approval where required. This includes NLF’s, invoicing or promotional proposals.
- Work in conjunction with the category teams to understand the promotion mechanic impact both from a financial perspective and also vs. the market and understand the customer benefit.
- Work with development, process, technical and operations to track the progress of NPD/EPD launches to ensure a smooth customer launch. This also includes the delisting of products where relevant stakeholders need to manage stocks and suppliers to minimize any write-off or stock exposure
- Degree education or equivalent preferred.
- Food experience preferred but not essential.
- Competent with all major software packages.
- Strong leadership potential with good interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with external customers.
- Strong organizational, and project management skills to assist with deadline delivery
- Able to manage and present data to a wider audience in a format that is easy to understand the objective clearly translated.
- Hardworking and passionate with an eye for detail and strong can-do attitude.
