**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as a Category Executive. You will be supporting the delivery plans for growth in the chilled meals market. This role will allow you to build a strategic relationship with commercial, development and marketing teams and you will be the go-to person for data insight. In this role you will be:

- Develop a working knowledge of the chilled meals category, its trends, and how this relates to the wider chilled market.
- Download and analysis of continuous monthly data sources (EPOS/Kantar/loyalty data) to create monthly reports and generate category understanding.
- Turning market and retailer data into truly actionable insights.
- Communicating competitor insights to the customer on a regular basis.
- Working with the wider teams to turn food/market trends into commercial opportunities.
- Evaluation of ‘market gap’ opportunities for the chilled meals category to translate into commercially viable propositions utilising store visits and store audit data.
- Macro and micro space management within the chilled meal category.
- Keep abreast of the latest news and market info across all media sources.

**The Right Person**

- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Comfortable with data, analytical, curious & inquisitive
- Methodical / logical / planned approach to problem solving
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Food industry experience desirable (not essential)
- Preferable working knowledge of PowerBI or other business analytics tools (not essential)
- Graduate - business / marketing qualification preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred
