Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for a new challenge? We have an amazing opportunity to join our Marie Curie Days team in Mid Herefordshire.

**Title**:Healthcare Assistant Planned Services

**Salary**:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 2 £21,318 pro rata, per annum. Plus Enhancements:

- Annual Leave Entitlement will take into account previous years of service under Agenda for Change terms and conditions _
- Marie Curie Clinical terms and conditions in 2023. These will align with some of the core terms and conditions of the NHS (Agenda for Change contracts). This will include new high-cost area supplement where applicable and unsocial hours enhancements. _
- As an interim measure we are offering a combined, monthly top up payment, which is in addition to our current enhancements, until the new rates are officially introduced _

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Hereford. You will deliver care and support to people with terminal illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.

With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, so you're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.

**What we are looking for:
- Relevant community experience
- S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable
- Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support
- UK driving licence & access to a vehicle are essential
