**About Us**:
Beacon International is a family run business providing equipment, consumables, and servicing within the asbestos removal industry for 30 years. Beacon is continually growing and recently acquired a New Zealand (NZ) partner who will fall under the brand.
**The Role**:
We are now looking for a new Purchasing assistant experienced in negotiating and buying materials to take responsibility for our current spending and improve our buy prices, terms, and availability.
**Responsibilities**:
- Negotiating, buying, and purchasing materials at the best price & terms
- Answering calls from customers and suppliers in support of other staff
- Sourcing and ordering products
- Source new suppliers and maintain our existing suppliers negotiating cost-down opportunities.
- Updating inventory and managing stock levels.
We are looking for a Purchasing assistant who:
- Has experience in procurement of electrical components used within a manufacturing setting.
- Has a strong background in manufacturing with a good knowledge of electrical-based materials.
- Is organised, motivated, reliable, able to self-manage and work well with and lead others and has a keen commercial business sense.
- Has good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Has an understanding of the product and specs needed to uphold our current quality of the product.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £10.57-£12.98 per hour
