The Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health (RESPIRE) in the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for an organised and proactive Research Administrator to support the smooth running of the Unit’s global health research portfolio.

**The Opportunity**:
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health (RESPIRE) focuses on respiratory health research in disadvantaged populations across Asia. We wish to appoint an experienced Administrator who will provide administrative support to facilitate delivering RESPIRE’s respiratory disease research and capacity building across partner organisations in seven low
- and middle-income countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka). The role includes supporting the Training, Education & Capacity Building platform; budget monitoring and reporting; organising meetings, teleconferences, annual meetings/conferences, including travel; meeting support; liaison with partner researcher and administration/finance teams; and assisting with the preparation of reports for the funder (NIHR).

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- An office administration qualification or significant equivalent experience, and several years’ experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent numeracy, written, oral and communication skills.
- Good organisational, planning and time management skills with ability to prioritise and a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Capacity for independent, accurate, unsupervised work with attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in IT skills including using MS Office.
