Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our fantastic team as F&B Host at The Macallan Estate. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will work alongside exceptional professional team to deliver luxury food and beverage experiences. The Macallan Estate F&B offering extends across The Brasserie, The Macallan Bar, Easter Elchies House, Ghillies Cottage and The Macallan Fishing Lodge. The Estate also hosts a variety of five star events throughout the year, delivering a truly exceptional experience for our guests.

**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Host is responsible for:

- Maintaining high standards of service in the bar, brasserie and at events.
- Providing exceptional guest service, at all times, to exceed guest expectations.
- Ensure The Macallan food and beverage areas constantly achieve high standards of performance and service, as well as ensuring they are set-up and maintained to the agreed standard.
- Ensuring a friendly and professional approach to service during breakfast, lunch, dinner and at events
- Completing seamless table turnarounds in an efficient manner
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of The Macallan food menu, as well as cooking techniques to ensure that you are knowledgeable about the service offering and can make recommendations to customers, if required
- Maintaining full knowledge of drink and coffee menu, as well as the standards around how these should be served
- Ensuring The Macallan bar constantly achieves high standards of performance and service.
- Ensuring the drink quality and serve is constantly exceptional and in line with brand etiquette.
- Responsible for the continuous development of the bar service offering, in terms of menu development and in accordance with the brand development and DNA.
- To ensure all serve ingredients are planned, sourced, prepared and stored appropriately and in a timely manner

Skills and Experience
- You hold basic food hygiene knowledge and understanding.
- Ideally, you’re currently established in a similar role, having had experience within a luxury hospitality environment, however having a great attitude and willingness to learn is essential
- Confident and smart with a mature, professional manner and a strong sense of ownership and pride.
- Experience of working shifts - at times you will be required to work an early breakfast and late dinner shift, as well as weekends.
- Responsible handling of cash and credit card transactions with strong numerical, literacy skills and communication skills.
- You have a strong F&B working knowledge, passion and experience
- You have a keen eye for detail, creative, an organised approach and willingness to exceed guest expectation

- A high level of resilience and the ability to deal with fast-paced environments is essential
- A positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
