Procurement Administrator

REED Birmingham Business Support are recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator to join our client who are an Automotive parts manufacturer.
**Duties**
- To develop solid relationships with both external and inter-company supply channels
- To work to improve and develop system supplier and parts records
- Using MRP tool to process new order requests for supplier records
- To support purchasing activity for new product developments, by working with various stakeholders
- To obtain sourcing and pricing options and making recommendations to project teams on best course of supply for the UK business unit
- To generate solid supply chain relationships that encourage effective communications between sites
- To ensure purchased products are released as soon as they are available in stock, and to influence where possible the prioritisation of urgent items
- To process all new supplier and parts information requests to allow smooth and effective set-up of data records.
Knowledge/ Experience
- Previous experience in a purchasing environment, purchase order processing
- Experience in processing orders (system use), having a clear understanding of customer requirements
Salary up to £25,000
Temporary to permanent opportunity
Birmingham B24 location - Full time
