Communications and PR Officer
We want to hear from you if you are a creative and confident Communications or Public Relations professional with a genuine interest in making a difference in the lives of children in care.
We are looking for a Communications and PR Officer to join our friendly Salisbury-based team. You will be interested and enthusiastic about all aspects of communications and PR, have a knack for writing, and be willing to jump into any task with a positive, can-do attitude.
Reporting to our Communications and Partnerships Manager, you will be eager to support and learn from our close-knit team of eight. We’re a busy team, supporting many different children’s services across the country and your role will be varied, touching many different aspects of communications and public relations.
You will be integral in drafting and shaping our internal and external communications. You will understand popular social media platforms well and, ideally, bring experience of creating and publishing social media content. You will be interested in working with the media and scouting out press opportunities, as well as writing press releases, case studies, and features, with the support of your manager.
You may be a current or aspiring PR Executive with two years or more of experience in a similar role. We do not expect you to have done everything set out here—we are here to help and develop you.
Keen on this role but seen something you’re not sure about? Don’t rule yourself out - give us a call to talk it through. For an informal discussion, please contact Holly Windsor-Newton on 07709 714472
