They are now seeking a **Business Manager - Pharmaceutical Ingredients** for their Life Science Division. This position will be home based and location within the UK is flexible. The geographical territory is the UK. This position is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Division Manager

**Job Purpose**
- To further develop and maintain a profitable and sustainable Business Unit in the Pharmaceutical Ingredients Division
- The Business Manager will develop long term business relationships with Key Customers
- The role holder will create unique and compelling sales propositions via the distribution of **APIs, excipients, drug delivery systems and formulation ingredients**:

- The Business Manager will identify and capitalise on new opportunities in order to grow their business unit. They will also promote the opportunities for customers to work with Manufacturing services

**Key Responsibilities**

**Customer Sales**
- Develop Key accounts
- Build opportunities
- Create new active sales projects
- Drive gross margin for the business unit
- Manage existing accounts portfolio
- Establish strong, long-term client relationships
- Communicate with major customers on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
- Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet customer needs
- Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
- Identify and approach new potential strategic customers

**Manufacturer Relationships**
- Develop relationships with suppliers of all key product groups
- Obtain marketing information
- Ensure adequate UK stock
- Communicate with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development)
- Cultivate new supplier partners

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Educated to degree level / equivalent
- Knowledge of the UK and global pharmaceutical pipeline, specifically in **API’s, excipients, drug delivery systems and formulation markets**:

- Solid sales experience in a B2B environment
- Proven experience as a Business Manager / Account Manager in the Chemical Distribution Industry is desirable
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Business acumen to attract and develop new supplier partners
- Experience of using CRM software and MS Office
- Solution seeking attitude
- Demonstrates drive, a growth mindset, and a team player approach
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills

In return, our Client is offering a basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience) plus benefits which include an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension, healthcare and a generous bonus scheme
