The assets can be anything from subsea pipelines, cables, offshore platforms, jack-up rigs, subsea wells, offshore wind turbines to subsea structures. As part of your remit, you will travel overseas on short assignments, working closely with our clients, building a strong rapport and ensuring we meet our commitments in terms of budget and schedule. In addition to this you will lead a dedicated team providing them with support and guidance. If this resonates and your ambition is to join a world class organisation where you will be given the opportunity to work on challenging projects then get in touch with us.

Who we’re looking for:

- MSc or PhD in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Excellent technical skills in relation to the geotechnical design of offshore assets.
- The ability to understand, interpret and critique results from standard and advanced laboratory testing, and be able to derive appropriate design soil parameters.
- Demonstrable mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving challenging engineering problems.
- Competence in numerical simulations and specialist geotechnical engineering software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D.
- Looking forward to developing your skills with the objective to become a recognised expert in your own field.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English, knowledge of any other language would be an asset.
- Experience in and confident in client liaison and client management.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- An open and respectful attitude towards others and ability to communicate across different audiences.
- Willing to travel abroad for short term assignments.

What we offer:
Fugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds. We also offer great opportunities to stretch and develop yourself. By giving you the freedom to grow faster, we think you’ll be able to do what you do best, better. Which should help us to find fresh ways to get to know the earth better. We encourage you to be yourself at Fugro. So bring your energy and enthusiasm, your keen eye and can-do attitude. But bring your questions and opinions too. Because to be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, we need the strength in depth that comes from a diverse, driven team.
- Extensive career & training opportunities both nationally and internationally.
- Competitive salary accompanied by an attractive package including contributory pension scheme, life assurance and private medical insurance.
- Flexible working hours and the potential to work 2 days a week from home in accordance with your manager and corporate policies.
- 24 days annual leave.
- Comprehensive benefits package including the option to buy or sell up to 5 days annual leave.
- Option to lease an electric car
- Subsidised restaurant/canteen in Wallingford offices
- Our view on diversity, equity and inclusion_

At Fugro, our people are our superpower. Their variety of viewpoints, experiences, knowledge and talents give us collective strength. Distinctive beliefs and diverse backgrounds are therefore welcome, but discrimination, harassment, inappropriate behaviour and unfair treatment are not. Everybody is to be well-supported and treated fairly. And everyone must be valued and have their voice heard.
