As the Digital Communications Officer you will take a lead role in managing the digital communications channels across NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP).

The post holder will be responsible for leading the development and publication of content across all Digital Communications, specifically the website, marketing materials, Directorate micro sites, and the intranet maintaining the profile of NWSSP as a world class provider of services amongst staff, the NHS, wider public sector, media and other stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Finance and Business Development to manage the development and design of digital communications, internal and external; promoting these services to the appropriate audiences; and developing and implementing strategies for future digital communications and exploitation of new technologies.

1. To lead on the production for all marketing materials, ensuring that all materials are in line with the Accessible Information Standard and are in line with NWSSP corporate branding guidelines.
2. Improve the usability and functionality of e-communication systems, including liaising with staff and identifying current and future requirements and necessary improvements.
3. Chair the Web Authoring Group to ensure that the internet and intranet are governed and managed efficiently across all NWSSP divisions. Ensuring that all web pages meet the W3C standards and ensure that all web pages and publications are in line with the Welsh Language Standards.
4. Lead on the design of the IMTP innovating an interactive digital document that improves its usability and accessibility.
5. Provide line management to the Digital Communications Assistant, providing day-to-day support, performance management, Conducting PADR, absence management and recruitment and selection.
