**The role**
This exciting new role will be key in helping us to achieve our ambitions for Lewisham, helping us to build a working culture that encourages innovative, smart and collaborative working.

This role, working from the Programme Management Office, will work closely with services and the project team to support the delivery of corporate projects including transformation, service delivery, new ways of working, business and behaviour change projects.

**Location**
Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House,Catford, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you may be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements.

**Apprenticeship Guidance Notes**

- Must have a GCSE grade A-C or grade 4 and above in Maths and English

**Salary details**
£20,166pa

**Main Purpose of the job**:
This role will provide project support to projects across the PMO, working closely with Strategic Transformation colleagues, users and stakeholders across the organisation.

The PMO apprentice will support the Head of PMO and programme manager(s) with tracking, reporting and co-ordination across projects and programmes being delivered or supported across the Assistant Chief Exec’s division.

**Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties**:
The PMO Apprentice will undertake:

- Administrative support across the PMO
- Co-ordinate and chase for actions
- Meeting booking
- Support for boards meetings
- Raising POs/receipting
- Attend Programme Stand up/check in’s
- New Starter Co-ordination
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project management documents
- Create and update monitoring dashboards
- Manage and build good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders at all levels, setting stakeholder expectations and maximising co-operation
- Ad-hoc project work as directed by senior management

Internal Contacts: This will include all colleagues across the Assistant Chief Executive’s division.

External Contacts: This will include residents, public sector partners and colleagues in similar roles across local government for knowledge sharing.

- Be responsible for professional advice and support in the service area to deliver in partnership with others the councils vision, values and ways of working.
- Ensure the delivery of identified service objectives and continuous improvement of service targets.
- Ensure performance and quality improvement through supporting and nurturing others to lead and manage innovative approaches to achieving results.
- Carry out the duties of the post with due regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy and core values.
- Carry out these and any other duties within the scope of the post flexibly and with full regard to the confidential nature of the post.
