An exciting opportunity has arisen to join AWE’s Information Request Team (IRT) as an Assistant Information Specialist.

The IRT are responsible for ensuring legislative compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI), handling all correspondence and processing the requests received to ensure appropriate and timely responses within tight timescales.

Location - This is a full-time post working for AWE in the Reading area. We have Smarter Working as a business so there will be some flexibility to work from home.

Salary from £27,980 to £35,000 per annum with the below benefits

Key Accountabilities:

- Providing and ensuring the efficient delivery of information and record management services.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

You Will Have:

- A team player who is able to work collaboratively as well as under their own initiative
- An individual capable of managing a heavy workload with good decision making and communication skills to ensure AWE meets its legal obligations under FoI.
- The ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and high standards of quality of work
- Able and willing to learn new skills and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some experience of handling different information and records
