Bank Clerical Officer

To work as a part of the clerical team in providing an effective, efficient service to the department and the Trust.
To present a friendly and professional image to patients and maintain good working relationships with other departments
Person specification.
Essential. Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Flexible - ability to work without direct supervision
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer skills
Desirable. Awareness of medical terminology
Knowledge of CRIS and PAS
Reception Duties. To include data entry, telephone enquiries, making appointments for GP patients and assisting Senior receptionist when required.
2. Office telephone queries. Taking accurate messages at all times and referring to relevant person.
3. Preparing electronic reporting worklists for Individual Radiologists. Manage all requests for urgent reporting within agreed time limit. Adhering to Department standards and protocols.
4. Transfer and receive transferred images electronically as requested by authorised personnel. Create CDs of imaging as appropriate.
5. To create waiting list entries from paper and electronic referrals. Check all demographics are correct, amend as appropriate.
6. General clerical duties to ensure adequate cover in all working areas, to include typing of coded reports.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
