**About the role**

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our suppliers and internal staff, day-to-day you will be transforming product data from their original format into that required for our systems and then maintaining this data, adding new products to the database, in a structured manner that facilitates both: customers in locating products on the website; and also the sales teams in locating and understanding the products on the database. You will ensure pricing and product updates are actioned accurately and promptly.

**Your role will include but is not limited to**:

- Manage pricing updates to ensure maintenance work is completed promptly and before agreed deadlines.
- Ensure naming conventions are followed, in order to provide a consistent and logical structure to products, which can be easily understood by both sales and customers.
- Support the sales of Renewal products, and action issues arising from the Renewals system and providing any other assistance to Sales.
- Communicate with Sales to ensure they are advised in advance of any known upcoming changes to the database, or that they are informed immediately of any unplanned changes.
- Action issues raised by other departments relating to product information to resolve errors or improve quality. Particularly, assist Purchasing in resolving queries around products and pricing arising as a result of customer orders.
- Action issues highlighted by the Quality Assurance system daily
- Regular maintenance of our database for example looking at end of life product and general housekeeping.
- Assist the other members of the Data Transformation team and provide cover for their absences.

**About you**

You will have a least five GCSE level 4/grade C (or equivalent) and above including Maths and English. You will be proficient at communicating both written and verbal, with excellent organisational skills. You will have a strong desire to learn new skills, comfortable using the computer including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and have excellent attention to detail.

Other skills required are:

- The ability to work in a highly pressurised environment to deadlines and with shifting priorities.
- Good communication skills - comfortable on the phone, a professional standard of written work
- Able to handle repetitive processes but with changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service and be customer-focused - aggressive in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.
- Proficient experience with Excel is essential.
- A knowledge of databases is an advantage but not essential.
