Payroll Administrator

A busy construction company based in Newton Abbot, is currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Clerk.
As the Payroll Administrator you’ll be the first point of contact for pay related queries. Working as part of a team, you will be looking after the day-to-day management of payroll, collating and inputting all information ready to hand over to the accountants to run payroll. You will ensure all Employees and Sub-Contractors, are paid on time and accurately.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Process all payment data such as wages/salary of CIS contractors and employees.
- Receive, process, issue and amend all paperwork, e.g., invoices, expenses, new starter contracts, pay rises etc.
- Ensure CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) contractor payments are accurate and the correct tax % is deducted, to send to HMRC.
- Inputting data into SAGE
- Issue/amend and maintain all employee, contractor, supplier contracts and records.
**Key requirements**:
- Experience working in a busy payroll or finance team is preferred.
- Some knowledge of payroll legislation, e.g. PAYE, NI, CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
- Experience working with SAGE, MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
