This role will involve carrying out both payroll and administrative duties within the finance department and reporting to the Finance Manager.

**Accounts responsibilities**:

- Process pay through Sage Payroll
- Manage Personnel records
- Check day to day clocking in reports and manage the clocking in machine
- Check and calculate any overtime
- Control holidays/ sickness records and absences
- Manage HRMC instructions ( tax code changes, AOE etc)
- Raise monthly payslips
- Schedule appointments for annual medicals/ new starters
- Manage pension contributions to 2 pension schemes
- Dealing with employee wage queries regarding hours worked, wages and holiday entitlement
- Credit Control duties e.g. checking customer credit ratings, chasing payments, checking bank records daily
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties as and when required e.g. sending/collecting post, ordering stationary, assist the Health & Safety Manager with booking training courses etc

**Desired qualities**:

- Sage experience in particular Sage Payroll
- Payroll/ accounts experience
- Adaptable person

**Job information/ benefits**:

- Monday
- Friday office based 37.5 hours (flexible start and finish times)
- £24,000-£28,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
