An excellent opportunity to join the Local Authority client on a temporary basis for a 2-3 month contract32 hours per week£15.17 per hour plus holiday payDuties will include:Act as Certifying Officer, ensuring that the Local Government Financial Regulations are adhered to. Administer the raising of purchase orders, sundry debtor and cheque requests, co-ordinate collation of contract documents and maintain a contract register to verify that invoices are correct and reconcile accounts for the departmental purchasing card.Act as Microsoft 365 Champion, driving adoption of the software in line with corporate standards and maximising the use of 365 to support business and finance administration processes and providing training and support to colleagues. Manage the structure and security of SharePoint and Teams sites to ensure that documents are stored appropriately, avoiding duplication and conforming to data protection legislation.Provide effective administrative support to the management team. Organise internal and external meetings, events and workshops, prepare resources, and accurately record notes and actions. Make arrangement for external conference and course bookings, including arranging travel and accommodation where required.Assist with the delivery of corporate projects and government funded schemes, collaborate with service areas across the authority as required to collate data and monitor actions, ensuring that accurate demand and outcome statistics are recorded and reported, and liaise with the accountancy team to administrate the allocation of budgets and funding.Support HR processes such as recruitment, restructures, disciplinaries and grievances by arranging meetings, preparing resources, and providing impartial accurate notetaking in accordance with policies, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.Co-ordinate the department’s response to complaints and enquiries from members of the public and business community, providing guidance and advice, and decision making as appropriate. This includes responses to Freedom of Information and Data Access requests. Ensure that complaints are responded to in compliance with corporate process and represent the Community Services & Improvement directorate on the Complaints Review Board.• Administration and IT support and guidance for the Housing Team.• Management of IT inventories, licenses and user access permissions.• Development and maintenance of Housing internal and external webpages.• Activity as Data Guardian for the Housing service to manage data security.• Maintain a Housing Team database and arrange and record staff training.• Co-ordinate Lone Working procedures to ensure staff safety.• Review of service risk assessments and carry out health & safety inspections.• Administration support for the Devon & Cornwall Housing Options Partnership.You should have a strong back ground in Business Administration and managing process including considerable financial administrationfor further information about this role please contact specialist Social Housing recruiter Mark Grove on or apply via this site
