**About Us**

The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting

illness within Ayrshire and Arran. We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s

homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself. This is provided at no cost

to our patients or their families. Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in

Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness.

**The Role & What We Are Looking For**

Ayrshire Hospice have an exciting opportunity.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced counsellor to work full time in our adult

bereavement service, and to become part of shaping our provision of bereavement support

across our services.

This team provides time-limited counselling and support in person, by telephone and video

call.

The service is for adults adjusting to a diagnosis, their loved ones and for people already

bereaved through life limiting illness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with experience of working with

bereaved people, conducting assessments and prioritising workload. An ability to providing

clinical supervision would be a bonus. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment

to team work and administrative skills that are required for working effectively within this

busy service.

To be considered applicants must have a professional qualification in counselling or

psychotherapy and be eligible for BACP accreditation.
