An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Haematology Department for 2x full-time Outpatient Team Leaders working at Sheffield Teaching Hospital, based at Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

The right applicant will ideally have line management experience, preferably within a hospital environment, and an understanding of hospital systems, e.g. Lorenzo, Info flex and ICE is desirable although not essential.

**Who we looking for**:
- Working as part of a team and reporting to the Admin & Clerical Supervisor, the post holders will provide an efficient and comprehensive outpatient service for both Medical Outpatient and Haemophilia & Anticoag.

You are also required to display tact and diplomacy where appropriate and have excellent communication skills as well as demonstrating a flexible approach to working, with the ability to manage their time and workload effectively using their own initiative.

To supervise the clerical team either within MOP or the Haemophilia& ACC department on a daily basis and to ensure that all reception areas are covered.

To provide a friendly and efficient reception for patients, visitors and staff attending the department

To carry out general administrative duties, and ensure that all clinical and nursing staff are supported.

To book patient appointments and to ensure that all clinical activity is recorded accurately on the Trust’s patient administration system on the day of activity.

To ensure that all patients are added to the appropriate waiting or review list, so that no patients are ‘lost to follow up’.

To undertake all line management duties associated with the reception staff being supervised by the Team Leader.

Manage and coordinate incoming referrals to ensure they are graded and booked into a clinic slot within the agreed timescales.

To act as a representative on behalf of A&C staff on multi-disciplinary strands of service improvement.

The Clinical Haematology department caters for patients with diseases of the blood, both malignant and non-malignant, and provides comprehensive diagnostic services and continuing management to patients.
